One Person, One Story

I got an idea in the middle of the night. Can one person change the course of history?

We know Jesus did. He took on the mission that God have Him, a difficult mission, and He ran the race set before Him (Heb. 12:1-2). He fought with honor, defeated the foe, and rescued us from sin and death. He changed history forever.

What about us? What part do we play in God's storyline? As a part of God's kingdom army, we are trained to wage spiritual warfare. As members of His team, we run alongside each other, following His calling, running for His cause.

As a writer, I enjoy the chance to decide the plot of a story. Who will the characters be? What is the plot line? How will the story end? Real life is much more complicated. Our stories intertwine with other people's lives. The plot has twists and turns we didn't expect. A happy ending may allude us. But God knows all.

God writes the best stories. And we get to follow. He knows every plot turn, every twist. And He prepares us. He helps us all along life's journey. So wherever the journey finds you, I hope that you can make a difference wherever you are.

The Hero is coming, once again, to take us home. Before He does, let's make that difference that will shape history, touching one heart at a time, one soul after another for the kingdom.

Can one person make a difference? When one person joins another, joins another, and joins another, the spiritual team expands, the impact strengthens. History will not be the same. And we won't be either.
